Pella Door Lock Problem

I recently installed a new pella back entry door and storm door.

Door does not fit tightly against weatherstrip. Over time the moving parts of the lock can seize preventing the door from opening. If your lock is not a gu ferco lock this article will not help you. My problem is the storm door only closes correctly as long as the interior door is open or partialy open.

To identify whether or not your lock is a gu ferco look at the lock faceplatefor the gu or g u ferco logo shown in picture below.
